Enterprise System Data Architect

  • Determine architectural requirements and designs and develops the enterprise software architecture for the product being built
  • Ensure that enterprise software solutions are aligned with the company’s goals
  • Assesses and determines governance, stewardship, and frameworks for managing data across the organization
  • Develop logical data models by extending conceptual models
  • Evaluate alternatives for integrating legacy data sources with enterprise relational models
  • Review and provides alternative strategies for transactional and analytical systems to effectively share data
  • Evaluate and identify specifications, best practices, integration and proper use of emerging technology as they relate to overall software architecture
  • Develop and maintain future state architectures and transition roadmaps which meet the enterprise needs as identified during current state architecture analysis and the assessment of gaps and opportunities
  • Establish the best practice of data governance, data quality and Master Data Management for the project
  • Minimum of 5 years of data management systems, data warehousing methodology, data quality, data modeling, data governance, analytics and predictive modeling
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related quantitative discipline
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with experience in leading and mentoring technical staff in software and product developments
  • Demonstrated experience translating business and technical requirements into comprehensive software solutions
  • Significant experience in developing and implementing reusable data services
  • Experience with big data technologies, such as Hadoop, Hive, and Pig, Cloudera, or large data warehousing initiatives
  • Extensive background and expertise in developing and managing data technologies, technical operations, and related tools and technologies
  • Working knowledge of IT governance frameworks, concepts, methodologies and modeling techniques
Travel Requirements
  • Approximately 50%-80% travel
